Terms of Use
These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your use of the Pixnest app ("Pixnest", "the app"). By installing or using Pixnest, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.
1. The app
Pixnest helps you organize, search and clean up screenshots stored on your device. It works offline and requires no account. Pixnest is provided free of charge.
2. License
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use Pixnest on devices you own or control, for personal and lawful purposes, in line with these Terms and the rules of the store you downloaded it from.
You may not resell, rent or sublicense the app, remove its notices, or use it to break the law. Pixnest's source code is published on GitHub; any license published with the source code governs your use of the source code.
3. Your content
Your screenshots, notes and collections are yours. Pixnest processes them only on your device to provide its features. We claim no rights over your content and never receive it. You are responsible for the content on your device and for having the right to keep and use it.
4. Permissions and deletion
Pixnest needs access to your photo library to work. You can limit or revoke it at any time in your device settings.
Some features (for example duplicate cleanup) let you delete images from your device. Pixnest only deletes images you select and confirm, and your device asks for confirmation as well. Deleted images may not be recoverable. Please review your selection before confirming, and keep backups of anything important.
5. Accuracy
Text recognition, automatic categories, detected details (links, numbers, prices, dates) and duplicate suggestions are produced automatically and may be incomplete or wrong. Do not rely on them for decisions where accuracy matters (for example financial, legal or medical decisions) without checking the original screenshot.
6. Backups
Pixnest's backup feature saves Pixnest's own data (not your images) to a file you choose. You are responsible for storing backup files securely, as they may contain recognized text and notes.
7. Third-party services and apps
Pixnest uses on-device components from Google (ML Kit, on Android) and Apple (Vision, on iOS). Links, e-mails and phone numbers you open from Pixnest are handled by other apps under their own terms. App stores' terms also apply to your download.
8. Privacy
How Pixnest handles information is described in the Privacy Policy, which forms part of these Terms.
9. Disclaimer
Pixnest is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement, to the fullest extent permitted by law. We do not warrant that the app will be error-free or uninterrupted, or that it will never lose data.
10. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for loss of data, images, profits or goodwill, arising from your use of or inability to use Pixnest. Because Pixnest is free, our total liability for any claim is limited to zero, or the lowest amount permitted by law. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, or your statutory rights as a consumer.
11. Changes and termination
We may update Pixnest and these Terms. When the Terms change, we will update the effective date shown in the app and on our website; continuing to use the app after a change means you accept the updated Terms. You may stop using Pixnest at any time by uninstalling it.
12. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of India, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules, except where the laws of your country of residence give you mandatory consumer protections, which remain unaffected.
